Norwegian club IK Start have completed the signing of Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Arafat-Mensah in a two-and-half-a-year deal from Slovenian top-flight NK Aluminij.
The 23-year-old began his career with Ghanaian side Feyenoord Academy.
Start sporting director Tor-Kristian Karlsen believes the Ghanaian will give the club more options upfront.
“I am very pleased to have completed the signing of Mensah because of his qualities” Karlsen told IK Start TV.
“We already had a good group of players with a great development potential but with this player, we have gotten the skills we have missed, which gives coach Kjetil Rekdal more strings to play.’’
“In Mensah, we have received a technical, smart player and in [Adeleke] Akinyemi, an attacker with great breakthrough and speed, one that can score a lot of goals," he added.
Arafat-Mensah becomes the second Ghanaian player at the club after former Inter Allies captain Isaac Twum.
