Takoradi, Oct 6, GNA - Mr Abraham Tettey-Nartey, Marketing and Corporate Affairs Executive of INNOLINK security and confidential printers, has announced that his outfit would for the next five years sponsor the annual Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and Best Teacher Awards. He said INNOLINK had also drawn up plans to support the National Hockey Tournaments and institute a scholarship scheme for brilliant but needy students within their catchment areas.
Mr Tettey-Nartey announced these when his company was honoured in the 17th Annual Best Teachers Award in Takoradi in the Western Region with a honorary certificate which partly read, "We honour you in recognition as a Gold Sponsor of the 17th National Best Teacher Awards 2011." He later told the GNA in an interview that the company which had for the past three years sponsored GJA annual awards, spent GHC41,000.00 on this year's Best Teachers Awards and hoped to sustain the package for the next five years.
Mr Tettey-Nartey explained that apart from providing GHc18,000.00 cash for the three winners of the Senior High School categories, the company had also sponsored the printing of all programme brochures and banners. The Marketing Executive appealed to teachers to exhibit a high level of discipline that would encourage and bring up the children they taught to become responsible and self-reliant adults in future. He said the company which was engaged in confidential and security printing, packaging and commercial printing in its 10 years of operation in the country, would continue to partner the Ghana Journalists Association, Ministry of Education and other partners for the achievements of better standards in those professional areas.
