The Minority Leader in Parliament, Mr. Alban Bagbin has called for a forensic audit to be conducted into the three year rule of the NPP administration.

Such as exercise, he pointed out, would put Ghanaians in a better position to judge for themselves, the level of corruption and embezzlement during the 19 years of the PNDC and NDC rule and the three years of President Kufour?s administration.

?If the Kufour?s administration come out clear and clean I will resign my position as Member of Parliament and Minority Leader,? he stated.

Mr. Bagbin threw the challenge during the inauguration of the University for Development Studies (UDS) Wa Campus chapter of the Tertiary Institutions Network of the NDC here.

Mr. Bagbin who is Member of Parliament for Nadowli North in the Upper West Region and chairman of the Public Accounts Committee said President Kufour?s declaration of zero tolerance for corruption had remained a mere slogan and that the high level of corruption that had taken place within the three years of his administration was alarming and beyond comprehension.

Corruption is taking place in the office of the President?, he alleged. People should join politics to sacrifice for the interest of the people not to amass illegal wealth,? he pointed out.
