Suicide is on the mind of Charles Owusu, a known sympathizer of the Progressive People’s Party.

His plan to carry out this ‘demonic’ mission would only see the light if earlier report which emerged that Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has promised not to lead the party in 2016 turns out to be true.

According to him, the only political figure who could put Ghana’s economy on the right track is Dr. Nduom, and it would be ill-fated for him to fall out.

“Currently, Ghana has a ruler but not a leader. We need a visionary and a good leader like Dr. Nduom to lead us,” Charles Owusu claimed.

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Mr. Owusu revealed that he first received the news with shock when he read about it and is trying harder not to believe it is true.

“I would like to plead with Dr. Nduom not to carry out his intention if he indeed means it, I will commit suicide,” he forewarned.

A trusted source at the PPP’s headquarters last Wednesday disclosed to Peacefmonline.com that Dr. Nduom informed executive members during a National Committee conference that he had lost the desire to lead the party in the upcoming 2016 elections.

Dr. Nduom’s premature exit comes at a time when the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has not even called on political parties to submit names of Presidential Candidates who will be representing them in the 2016 general election.

After the 2008 general election, Dr. Nduom founded the Progressive People's Party (PPP) with the intention of removing all bottlenecks that hampered his presidential ambition as then-presidential candidate of the Convention People's Party (CPP).

He successfully formed the PPP and placed a respectable third in the last general elections, polling 64,267 of the total votes cast, representing 0.58%.
