If you do what Chris Brown said we will arrest you - Police

The Director of Public Affairs DSP Cephas Arthur has told host of Okay FM that since the laws of Ghana forbid people to smoke marijuana if not prescribed by a medical doctor, the police force would deal ruthlessly with any person caught smoking the item.

Grammy Award winning artiste, Chris Brown, came under a salvo of criticisms after he dented his impressive performance at the Hope City Concert last Tuesday night when he smoked ‘weed’ during his performance at the event.

He was also caught on tape clearly urging the people who had gathered at the event to try smoking the stuff he had lit on stage.

In an attempt to illustrate to the audience he was serious about teaching them how to handle the ‘illegal substance’, Chris Breezy as he is affectionately called asked; “how many of y’all smoke weed? If anybody tripping on ya’ll smoking weed, f**k them. Sh*t, I got my blunt right here”.

DSP Cephas Arthur who was reacting to the incident advised Ghanaians to stay away from the illegal substance since smoking of narcotics was an abomination in the land.

He added that he was yet to unravel the truth in the matter but assured the general public that the Police service wouldn’t relent in arresting anybody who smokes under the influence of Chris Brown.

“What Chris Brown did was against our laws and anybody who wants to learn from him simply because they should try it would be confronted by the police. We as Ghanaians respect our laws and the youth should desist from practicing what Chris Brown told them to. We won’t forgive anybody who practices it,” he said.
