Electoral Commissioner Kwadwo Afari-Gyan tells journalists that the country is facing a second round of presidential elections, in Accra, Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000. Neither candidate obtained the required 50 per cent of the vote, with opposition leader John Agyekum Kuffuor getting 48.4 per cent , compared to 44.8 per cent for Vice President John Atta Mills.
