Former Managing Director (MD) of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport (BOST) Company Limited, Alfred Obeng Boateng has come to terms with his dismissal “in good faith”.

He also encouraged “all affected colleagues to do same as we rally our unflinching support to the President”.

President Nana Akufo-Addo sacked Mr Boateng and appointed Mr George Mensah Okley as the new MD few days ago.

The BOST MD has faced a series of accusations including the alleged sale of some five million litres of contaminated fuel, which was unearthed by the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) Ghana.

In a letter of appreciation on Tuesday 12th June 2018, Mr Boateng said he extends his “deepest and unqualified appreciation to his Excellency the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo for offering me the opportunity to serve in his government until the restructuring took place”.

He said he is available at all times to offer his expertise whenever it is needed and encouraged his admirers, staff of BOST and relations showing support to come on board to support Mr Akufo-Addo, adding “in government or not, I wish the government and my party to succeed”.

“In as much as I appreciate the solidarity shown across the country particularly from the Western Region, let us tread cautiously in order not to do anything that may undermine the government and our great party, NPP,” he admonished.

Mr Boateng further thanked his critics for “strengthening me in all those challenging moments during my tenure”.
