Independence Anniversary celebration takes place in Winneba

Winneba), March 7, GNA - A parade of security personnel from the Ghana Police service, Prisons, Fire Service, School children, students and voluntary organisations took place at the AME Zion School Park in Winneba to mark the 52nd anniversary of independence. School children from 49 public basic schools, 11 private and 7 senior high schools participated in the three-hour march. The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Matthew Quayeson, took the salute and read the President's message that stated that teachers would be given incentive packages. The parade commander was Mr Alexander Owusu Adjei, a teacher of the University Practice Junior High School.
