Hohoe, May 12, GNA - Bless Abuduvi, driver's mate and Ellis Attah, a student, have been remanded by a Hohoe Circuit Court for possessing Indian hemp moulded in the form of loaves of bread.

Abuduvi and Attah would take their plea on May 22 when they re-appear before the court presided over by Mr Edward Apenkwa. Mr Samuel Gbedemah, Police Chief Inspector, told the court that on April 25, a 207 Benz bus with registration number GW 2599 Z pulled up at the Golokwati police barrier and a search on it revealed substances moulded in the form of bread stashed in two large travelling bags. Mr Gbedemah said Abuduvi and Attah claimed ownership of the luggage and said the bags loaves of bread they were taking to Accra. When the bags were searched they were found to contain Indian hemp and the accused persons alleged that the consignment was given to them by an uncle known as Korsi to be delivered to an unknown person in Accra.

They however failed to lead police to the said uncle.
