Information ministry not for propaganda - Hamid

Minister of Information, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid has said that his ministry is not a channel for propaganda.

Mr Abdul-Hamid made this known during discussions at the AMA Town Hall Meeting held at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Hall in Osu on Monday, 11 December.

He emphasised that the role of the ministry was to keep the nation informed on the dealings of government as well as solicit feedback.

The programme was spearheaded by Accra Mayor Adjei Sowah Mohammed.

The meeting was chaired by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ishmael Nii Armah Ashitey. It was attended by chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, assembly members, some students and the general public.

Also present was Curtis Perry Kwabla Okudzeto, Deputy Minister of Information.
