Nkoranza (B/A) Oct. 5, GNA - Nana Kramo Siaka, a herbalist at Nkwabeng near Nkoranza has said the increasing cases of mental ailment among the youth could partly be attributed to the use of hard drugs, especially 'Indian hemp' popularly called 'wee'. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency about operations at his Mental Disorder Healing Centre at Nkwabeng, Nana Siaka said though people could become insane through witchcraft activities those who smoke Indian hemp stood a high risk of becoming lunatic. He advised Ghanaians, especially the youth against drug abuse and alcoholism.

Nana Siaka also urged students to study hard to enable them to pass their examinations to justify the investments being made in their education.

He called on parents to monitor the movement of their children to enable them prevent them from joining gangs which abuse drugs and engage in other anti social vices.

Nana Siaka said he could treat about 10 insane persons in a year and that he had already healed about 150 lunatics since he started work about 15 years ago.
