Insecurity in Dawhenya as youth vows to fight armed military landguards

The youth of Dawhenya have vowed to fight against the illegal activities of armed military men engaging in landguard activities which posses a security threat to the residents of the Dawhenya area.

On the 8th of November, one Johnny a landguard from miotso led five armed military landguards to a factory called MOUNTAIN TANK to stop them from working.

According to the youth series of petitions has been sent to the military hierarchy since last year and yet still armed military men are engaging in land guard activities and brutalizing residents as well.

Their last operation was just this Tuesday 21st, November 2018 led by One Captain Forkuo who arrived in a vehicle with registration number 44 GA 16 . The military we know are suppose to protect lives and properties in our communities, but in this instance the armed military men are rather engaging in activities known to be illegal and infringing on the rights of residents of Dawhenya.

– [ ] Spokesperson for the aggrieved youth Anum of Arden darpoh family, who is also a victim of the brutalities told Modernafrika.com upon our visit that, residents of Dawhenya and other communities are living in fear because of the activities of armed Military land guards and has called on the Military Command and the commander in chief of the armed the forces as a matter of urgency to call for an investigation into the illegal Military land guard activities in Dawhenya.

According to the aggrieved youth people hiring services of military men as land guard has now become the other of the day since prompt attention has not been given to the situation at hand.

The youth hereby put on record that, Dawhenya lands are family lands and not stool lands and we don’t remember giving any of our lands to the Ghana Armed Forces
