The group which is affiliated to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been linked with a number of outrageous acts since the turn of the year, with President Akufo-Addo even speaking out against them during his State of the Nations Address.
But it appears the president's talk were in vain, as the group has again been involved in another lawless act - this time disorganising the elections of USAG.
A report by Ghanacrusader.com says that members of the Invisible Forces stormed the campus of the University of Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale, where USAG were holding their elections to elect new executives, and disrupted the whole process while counting was ongoing.
They prevented the election from going on smoothly by tearing up ballot papers and destroying the ballot boxes, leaving all delegates confused and shocked. Ghanacrusader.com reports that from information gathered, USAG president Emmanuel Frimpong had hired the services of some Invisible Forces members to serve as guards during the USAG congress.
However, after a dispute over payments, the vigilante group opted to show their frustrations by disrupting the whole election process. It is currently unknown what really went into the action of the Invisible Forces, with the USAG president reportedly also denying owing them any arrears.
