Accra, Nov. 23, GNA - Jamiat Al-Heddayat Al Islamiat, an Islamic Organisation in Ghana on Friday reiterated the call by Catholic Bishops Conference and Christian Council of Ghana for a review of the educational reforms.

In a statement issued in Accra and signed by Alhaji Yussif Issah, Vice Chairman of the organization said: "Jamiat also supports the view that Religious and Moral Education should be key subject in the school curriculum to inculcate in the youth moral principles." It said the review being advocated by religious organisations were to improve education in the country and not to oppose the smooth running of the educational system.

The statement stressed the need for women in tertiary institutions in the country to appear decent when attending lectures and in public.

It appealed to the Ministry for Women and Children's Affairs to intensify campaign on Ghanaian women to appear decent in public based on custom and tradition. 23 Nov. 07
