Numo Kofi Okassa Diaka II, Wulomo and Chief Priest of the Asere Traditional Area in the Ga State, has emphasized the importance of harmonious relations between the Ga society and the Ashanti kingdom.

Speaking to the media, Numo Kofi Okassa Diaka II, who also serves as an Executive Officer at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, highlighted the need for collaboration and peace, stating, "Today, in our current dispensation, we don't fight again; we don't believe in wars anymore. It is high time we come together as one people under one umbrella, and that is the constitution of Ghana. I believe that peace between the Gas and the Ashantis will lead to the peace of the country."

His appeal comes during the historic visit of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, to the Greater Accra region.

On Sunday, June 9, 2024, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II visited the King of the Ga State, Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teko Tsuru II, at the Ga Mantse Palace in Accra.

This significant event marks only the second time in history that an Asante monarch has visited a Ga King, with the first visit taking place in 1946.

The visit was part of a series of activities commemorating the historic engagement between the two kingdoms.

It followed Ga Mantse's recent participation in the 25th-anniversary celebration of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II's ascension to the throne and his 74th birthday celebration. The event was marked by a vibrant display of both Ga and Asante cultures, showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of the two communities.
