Atik Mohammed has taken President John Dramani Mahama's 24-hour economy promise with a pinch of salt.
According to the former PNC General Secretary, the 24-hour economy proffered by Mahama is more a concept than a policy.
The 24-hour economy is a flagship policy that the former President intends to implement in his next administration if Ghanaians give him the nod to lead the nation in 2025.
He explains the 24-hour economy will ensure businesses run a 3-shift system and operate within 8 hours.
This, he believes, will increase Ghana's productivity but Atik Mohammed has a varying opinion.
“For me, it will be difficult to convert that into a policy. It’s just a concept that works with other blocks to make things happen”, he stated on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show.
He stressed the 24-hour economy is only be feasible when it is contingent on other factors but cannot work as a "stand alone policy".
