The founder and leader of the United Renaissance Party (URP), Kofi Wayo has stated that former President Rawlings can be said to be an angel as compared to President Kufuor.
In an interview with Mr. Ken Addy on 'Ekosii Sen' on Asempa FM. Wayo said Rawlings was a military man and it is not surprising to see him behaving the way he did.
But President Kufuor, who was described as the Gentle Giant of Ghana, has according to him shocked the people by robbing the nation.
Wayo further stated that during the Ghana at 50 celebrations, the government spent more than $31 million on hotels, Jaguars and a lot of things, yet the same government is begging for $17 million to fight malaria.
According to Kofi Wayo, it is very unpleasant for a country like Ghana which has gold to go begging for support from other countries, describing the Kufuor led government in unkindly words for begging for a sum of $17 million to kill mosquitoes.
Wayo said Nana Akufo Addo promised the public during election 2000 that the serial killing of women would stop if voted into power but when he was made the Attorney General, he never cared to set up a task force to even investigate the killings of the 34 women.
Yet he is now making noise to be voted for as the president of Ghana, asking the populace to reject him.
