The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSSAG) has issued a six-day ultimatum to government to release funds for the payment of outstanding allowances due it or would embark on an industrial action.

A statement from the association dated, April 20, 2017, said leadership has been under pressure as a result of the non-payment of their allowances.

The association stated that it had been assured of the implementation of consolidated salaries and that once the consolidated salaries were paid, the payment of benefits or allowances due staff would be a thing of the past, however, that assurance has not been fulfilled.

JUSSAG noted that the delay had plunged its members into unbearable and untold hardship. “Our members nationwide are extremely constrained economically as a result of the delay,” it noted.

The association cautioned that failure of government to pay the allowances on or before Wednesday April 26 shall compel them to “advise” themselves.
