distributed 2,345 free school uniforms and exercise books to deprived pupils in the area, as part of government's effort to promote quality education at the grassroots.

The pupils also received a set of HIV/AIDS game materials to help sensitise them on the dangers of the pandemic. The beneficiary communities included Adoowa, Nkoduase, Donkoase, Daban, Adubriem, Aboagyekrom, Akutuase, Ankaakur, Ekorase and Atabrakoso.

The rest are Fiamoaso, Domeabra, Hiayeya, Woroworoso, Aboo, Sudantoa, Mile 18, Bepotenten and Wromanso. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Jacobu, after the presentation of the items, Mr Robert Bennett Forkuoh District Chief Executive said the items were the second consignment of free educational materials the Assembly had taken delivery of. The first consignment comprised 2,000 school uniforms as well as exercise books.

Mr Forkuoh affirmed government's resolve to fulfil its campaign promises and expressed the hope that the items would go a long way to motivate the beneficiaries in their educational pursuit. He urged the school authorities to ensure that the materials are distributed to the pupils. Mr Kingsley Anarfi, Head teacher of Donkoase D/A Primary School, thanked the Assembly on behalf of the beneficiary schools and promised that it would be fairly distributed.
