THE Minister of Information and Presidential Affairs, Mr Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey, left Accra at the weekend for United Kingdom for a one-week official visit.

During the visit, Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey will hold discussions with Baroness Lynda Chalker, the Minister for Overseas Development, and officials at No.10 Downing Street in London. The minister described his visit as, “ a mission of image enhancement and economic development for Ghana.”

Ms Elizabeth Ohene, a Minister of State at the Presidency, will act in the absence of Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey.

Prior to his depature, Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey commended media practitioners for the level of co-operation they have extended to the government in the management of the Yendi conflict.

He assured media practitioners of the government's commitment to expand the frontiers of press freedom in Ghana.
