The engineer in charge of the construction of Job 600 has stated that it is unlikely that the contractors will meet their completion date.

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Housing on Thursday inspected the Job 600 building which is to provide offices for the 275 MPs.

The members of the committee were however unhappy with the pace of work on the structure which is yet to be handed over to the MPs.

The legislators have also raised serious concerns about the quality of materials used and work done on the building.

Resident Engineer Ekow Bentsi-Enchill rated the building as fair when he was briefing the Committee Chairman David Asumeng and some Committee members.

Mr. Bentsi-Enchill however added that with the pace of work the contractors would be unable to meet the completion date.

“I am compelled to agree with you that the trend and the delivery doesn’t suggest that it would concluded in May-June,” Mr. Bentsi Enchill said.
