Former Ghana International, Joe Addo has made a scathing attack on ex-Black Stars manager, Avram Grant for not creating competition in the team.
Joe Addo was sharing his thoughts on the Black Stars’ World Cup campaign on the Football Legend Night Show on Friday, 17th, November 2017 when he said this.
According to Joe Addo, ”Some players had in their mind that, the National team is for them. Avram Grant made it that. Instead of creating competition for them, he made it easy for the boys who were playing starlets have their way and so complacency came into the team.”
He added that, the players thought they have been to the World Cup three times and so they are going to cruise over the cranes of Uganda and lo and behold it didn’t work.
Ghana could not make it to a fourth consecutive World Cup after they finished third in Group E behind the Pharaohs of Egypt and the Cranes of Uganda with seven (7) points from six games in the qualifiers.
