The New Patriotic Party’s national organizer, John Boadu has confirmed that they have infiltrated the rank and file of the national democratic congress and would be voting in the NDC’s November 7 parliamentary and presidential elections.

Addressing party supporters in the Ashanti region as part of Nana Addo's ‘Rise and Build’ tour, John Boadu said “when they (NDC) see anyone they ask you to come for a loan and then prepare their party ID card for you.

“They don’t check whether you’re NDC or not. The rationale behind their strategy is that at the end of their registration they’d say they had about 6 million people registering as NDC members.

“So at the end of the 2016 elections when they have about 5.8 million votes, you cannot challenge them that they stole the verdict. So they have opened it up and our members have infiltrated and registered.”

There were reports in the latter part of last week that some members of the main opposition New Patriotic Party had infiltrated the camp of the National Democratic Congress for various reasons.

The NDC’s Eastern regional chairman, Bismark Tawiah Boateng said they had credible information that some NPP members had broken into their rank and said they would arrest any such persons.

When the Director of Communications of the NPP Nana Akomea was asked, he described it as a “joke” adding that they have no interest in the elections of the NDC.

Confirming the reports John Boadu of the NPP said “when you go back, tell our members who have registered that they should go ahead and vote in the NDC’s elections and elect wrong candidates for them. Next time they would learn sense.”

NDC would be electing presidential and parliamentary candidates for the 2016 elections. November 7 2015 is the date set for the election which would take place nationwide.

Vetting has been conducted nationwide to selected viable candidates who would be voted for on the said date.

President John Mahama would be running unopposed but would have to be acclaimed by delegates.
