Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Officer of NDC
The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] has been described as an “unserious” politician by the National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC].
According Sammy Gyamfi, John Boadu’s claim that the lecture of the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central at the Economic Lecture Series organised by the NDC was full of ‘Concert Party’ shows how frivolous the NPP’s Chief Scribe is.
“Who would even hold a press conference to address on a ‘concert party’?” he questioned whiles addressing the press.
The NDC's Economic Lecture Series was organised to deal with what they said were some misleading facts and patent misstatements laced with populist rhetoric by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the head of the government's Economic Management Team (EMT).
The town hall meeting was organised by the EMT in Accra to respond mainly to criticisms on the depreciation of the Cedi.
The NDC however responded to NPP in a similar lecture dubbed the Economic Lecture Series.
But, John Boadu sees theirs as a ‘joke’ – a comment Sammy Gyamfi did not take lightly.
According to him, “If what the NDC did was a concert party, then what they [NPP] did was an elevated concert party.”
