Former president John Dramani Mahama with NDC general secretary, Asiedu Nketia
NDC Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama on Saturday joined the chiefs and people of Nandom in the Upper West Region at the funeral service for the late paramount chief of the Nandom Traditional Area, Naa (Dr.) Puoure Puobe Chiir VII.
The Nandom Naa, accordingly to President Mahama, was for many decades a strong pillar of our country’s chieftaincy institution and one who ensured the unity and cohesiveness of not only his traditional area, but the Upper West Region as a whole.
The former president also paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Wa Traditional Area. He was accompanied by NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, NDC First Vice Chairman Chief Azorka, former Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, the Upper West Regional Chairman and his executives and other senior members of the party from the region.
