John Mahama unveils ten-member transition team

The President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, has announced the members of his 2024 Transition Team.

The appointments, made in accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (ACT 845), underscore his commitment to ensuring a seamless handover of power to the incoming administration.

In a statement issued by the NDC on December 10, 2024, Mahama expressed confidence in the team, which comprises distinguished professionals with expertise in finance, governance, and public administration.

"This is a team of capable and experienced individuals who will work diligently to ensure a smooth and orderly transition. Their diverse expertise is vital for the critical task ahead," the statement read.

The President-elect emphasised the importance of unity and cooperation during this period.

"Our objective is to prioritize the national interest and guarantee a smooth handover process that upholds Ghana’s democratic values," he added.

The Transition Team, composed of experienced individuals from various sectors, including finance, governance, and public administration, will collaborate closely with representatives of the outgoing administration to facilitate the transfer of power.
