Former youth star Joseph Aidoo was named man of the match in KRC Genk's 1-0 defeat to Club Brugge in the Jupiler on Monday night.
The Ghanaian was a rock in defence despite his side losing by a solitary goal which came in the final minute after Brugge strike Lior Rafaelov scored in the 93rd minute.
Aidoo joined Genk from Swedish side Harmaby IF and has become an instant hit for the Belgian giants following his consistent top performances for the club.
The former Inter Allies defender was given a caution in the 18th minute but that could not stop him from producing another spectacular performance.
The 22-year-old's performance drew praises from his former employers at Inter Allies, who insisted his display will inspire other Ghanaians in Europe.
