The Presidency has tagged the chairman of the National Democratic Party, Dr. Josiah Aryeh, as an attention seeker who lacks substance in his arguments on national issues.
It has challenged him to go to court if he has evidence to prove that the current government officials are corrupt thieves.
The former general secretary of the NDC told a gathering of NDP supporters over the weekend that the president had appointed a gang of thieves who are looting the country’s meager resources.
He also said Ghana is in a state of Leaderlessness under President Mahama.
Responding to these criticisms on the XYZ Breakfast Show today, presidential staffer, Dr. Clement Apaak, described Dr. Aryeh’s claims as irresponsible.
“I was shocked and surprised because I would have thought that people who believe that they have evidence indicating malfeasance in society generally or in government would do the right thing by providing such information to the requisite state institutions”.
“If you have statements coming from somebody who has a legal background and has held political office…you wonder whether it is not for pure political propaganda and the search for attention and a means to be heard,” Dr. Apaak said.
