Berekum (B/A), Aug. 11, GNA - Mr Justice Robert Kofi Asaase, Circuit Court Judge at Berekum, has called for the arrest and prosecution of female youth, especially, who dress indecently. He noted that the police could help check such indecent dressing if they arrested young women and girls who paraded in the streets in dresses that exposed their sensitive body areas and prosecute them in court.

Justice Asaase was speaking to Ghana News Agency at Berekum after the commissioning of a five million cedis urinal for the court. It was constructed by a Mr Kwasi Gyan, a Berekum businessman. Justice Asaase said the measure would compel the youth to lead morally upright lives and not blindly follow foreign and strange cultures.

"Any woman arrested for indecent exposure should be prosecuted at the court and punished accordingly to serve as a deterrent to others," he reiterated, noting that indecent dressing often enticed morally weak men to go in for such women, thereby increasing sexual promiscuity, "and we cannot rule out rape and defilement."
