A judge at the Agona Swedru High Court, Justice Senyo Dzamefe, has taken a swipe at some ruling NPP executives for failing to appear before him.

One Samuel Kobina Idan, who was among the Ten Agona West Constituency Executive suspended by the Central Regional branch, has dragged the party to court.

Consequently the court presided over by Justice Senyo Dzamefe slapped the NPP with a fine of ?30 million, for failing to attend proceedings.

The court explained that each of the 10 executives would attract an amount of ?3 million.

Justice Dzamefe in his ruling expressed grave concern over the attitude of the ruling NPP towards the court in which it proffers confidence.

?It is regrettable that the NPP which preaches democracy, freedom of the judiciary and the rule of law, treated the court with such a contempt,? he said.
