Judgement debts Commission to resume sitting

The Commission of Inquiry established by His Excellency President John Mahama to inquire into Judgement Debts Payments and other related matters will resume public sittings on Wednesday April 3, 2013.

The Commission will continue sitting on Monday April 8 2013 at the Old Parliament House, Accra opposite the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

Representatives from the Lands Commission and Solicitor General who had earlier appeared before the Commission would be expected to provide additional information.

Representatives from the Internal Audit Agency, Ministry of Defence and the Registrar General’s Department will also be making their initial appearance before the Commission.

Additionally, Nana Kwaku Duah Appianin III (Kokosohene), Nana Akyiaa Tiwaa (Asaaman Kanin Hemaa), Abusuapanin Kwasi Kontoh (Kofinini Abusuapanin) as well as some private companies will appear before the Commission.

The Commission wishes to remind the general public that Public sittings would be held at 10.00 a.m. each day

Members of the public who wish to testify or volunteer information are first to report at the Commission’s office to give their statement. The Commission will then schedule a date for them to give evidence.

All those who intend to testify or volunteer information to the Commission but are unable to be present in person are requested to submit memoranda to the Commission. All such memoranda will be treated confidentially.
