Judgment Debt Inquiry resumes June 24

The Commission of Inquiry into Judgement Debt Payments and other related matters, established by President John Dramani Mahama, would resume its public sittings from Monday, June 24, 2013.

A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr George William Dove, Public Relations Officer of the Commission, said sittings would also continue on Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday June 26, 2013.

Sittings would start at 10.00 a.m. each day.

The statement said representatives of the under listed organisations or institutions had been invited to appear before the Commission to assist in its work.

They are Judicial Secretary of the Judicial Service, Chief Director of Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council, Director of Banking, Bank of Ghana and Minister of Justice and Attorney General.

The rest are Chief Margins Group Limited, Kae Ghana Limited, Director of Administration, Ghana Police Service, Chief Valuer of Valuation Division, Lands Commission, Mr John Kwame Koduah, Mr John Alex Hamah and the Solicitor General.

The statement said the organisations and individuals mentioned are at liberty to appear with their lawyers.

The statement said members of the public who wished to testify or volunteer information are to report at the Commission’s office to give their statements and then the Commission would schedule a date for them to give evidence.

All those who intend to testify or volunteer information to the Commission, but are unable to be present in person are requested to submit memoranda to the Commission.

All such memoranda would be treated confidentially, the statement said.
