The Ridge Regional Hospital in Accra on Wednesday announced funeral and burial arrangements for a nurse and midwife who died in the June 3 twin-disaster.
The hospital which has decided to take the responsibilities for their burial in consultation with the bereaved families, has fixed July 10 for the burial and funeral services.
Ms Emefa Agbematu, a rotation midwife, and Ms Harriet Bamfo, a Staff Nurse, were among the more than 150 people who died in the twin-disaster.
A statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Maliwu Taadi, Head of Administration of the hospital and copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra said the funeral rites would take place at the forecourt of the Greater Accra Regional Training Centre of Ghana Health Service near the Adabraka Polyclinic, opposite the Accra Psychiatric Hospital at 0830 hours.
Torrential rains on June 3 resulted in extensive flooding of the capital and the explosion of a fuel station near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle led to the deaths.
