The jury in the trial of a man accused of murdering a Gypsy Hill man who died from a single stab wound to the heart has failed to reach a verdict. Jurors at the Old Bailey retired on Wednesday, September 28, to consider whether hotel worker Jamie Rickerby, 25, of Balham High Road, was guilty of killing father-of-two Solomon Sarfo, 34 in Tilson Gardens on Sunday, February 27. But this morning they returned to court and said they were unable to reach a majority verdict. Mr Sarfo came to Britain from Ghana in 2005 and lived in Gypsy Hill. He was found dead with £8,500 worth of crack cocaine in his pocket on the night of February 27. Rickerby, who chose not to take the stand at the trial, denies murder. There will be a retrial at a later date.
