A total of 1,178 students graduated from KAAF university
One of Ghana’s fast-sprawling private universities, KAAF, has held its 14th graduation ceremony on Friday, October 31, 2025, where a total of 1,178 students graduated across four faculties as well as the Graduate School.
The ceremony also marked a significant milestone in the university’s journey, as it transitioned from a University College to a fully Chartered Private University after it received a Presidential Charter in December 2024.
In his speech, the Vice Chancellor, Dr Francis Achampong, emphasised that the theme for the occasion, “Empowering Minds, Shaping Futures,” captured the essence of KAAF’s academic and developmental mission.
He stressed; “At KAAF University, we believe that empowerment begins with the mind by nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of purpose in every student.
Through rigorous academic work, mentorship, research, and practical training, our students have been prepared not only for successful careers but also for meaningful lives of service and leadership.”
He counselled the new graduates to always remember that “the future is not something that simply happens, it is something we shape through the choices we make.”
This, he explained, formed part of the reasons KAAF University has over the years been committed to training students to be critical thinkers, selfless and ethically upright in all their endeavours, adding that “KAAF graduates have been trained not to be afraid to take risk, innovate and always push the boundaries.”
The VC indicated that KAAF University has seen significant infrastructural developments, including the completion of new lecture theatres, acquisition of buses and electric cars, and an upgrade of campus-wide fiber optic internet connectivity.
The Chancellor of KAAF University, Michael Aidoo, in an interview with the media, stated that prior to the establishment of KAAF University in 2006, private universities in the country did not offer engineering programmes such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering and construction technology among others.
According to him, KAAF University was established to fill the aforesaid gap, insisting that KAAF has over the years remained committed to training resilient and forward-looking engineers for national development.
The university admitted 1,522 students for the 2025/2026 academic year, further solidifying its position as a growing academic institution.
In KAAF’s quest to strengthen its academic diversity and meet national and global workforce demands, the University has introduced the following accredited postgraduate programmes in 2024/2025.
They include LLM Corporate and Commercial Law, MSc Corporate and Commercial Law, LLM Taxation Law, MSc Taxation Law, Med Early Childhood Education, and MPhil Early Childhood Education.
