KMA present communication gadgets to Police

Kumasi, May 20, GNA - The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) on Friday presented communication gadgets worth 27.8 million cedis to the Ashanti Regional Police Administration.

Nana Akwasi Agyeman, Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), presented the gadgets comprising 12 sets of potable radios and their accessories. Nana Agyeman reiterated the government's commitment and determination to support the various security agencies to work effectively to ensure stability and peace in the country.

He said the presentation was in appreciation of the good work the Police was doing in the region to maintain law and order and expressed the hoped that the equipment would help them to control criminal activities.

Dr Kofi Kesse Manfo, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, who received the equipment, expressed sincere gratitude to the KMA and the MCE in particular. He recalled the construction of a water closet at the Central Police barracks by the KMA. He said Nana Agyeman occasionally provides the Police with vehicles to support their day-to-day night patrols and other operations.

Dr Manfo appealed to the good people in the region to emulate Nana Agyeman's gesture to enable the Police to win the war against criminals.
