The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has converted the lower foyer of its Great Hall into a Hall of Fame in honour of past leaders of the university who have made significant contributions to its development. Monuments in the form of busts, plaques and portraits as well as statues of past Principals, Vice-Chancellors, pro-Vice Chancellors, Chairmen of the University Council and Registrars are to be installed in the Hall of Fame.
The first series of busts and plaques have been installed at the hall. The monuments were in honour of Principals and Vice-Chancellors of the university from 1952 to 2000. The establishment of the Hall of Fame and the unveiling of the busts and plaques formed part of activities marking the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the KNUST.
