Kumasi, Feb. 26, GNA - The Business School of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in collaboration with the Technical University of Bergakademie in Freiberg, Germany, would organise an international conference on management of resources and environment, in Kumasi from March 24 to March 27, 2009. Mr. Edmund Hassan, Leader of the organizing team, told GNA in Kumasi that over 100 participants were expected from Ghana, Bolivia, Germany, Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan, Ethiopia and other countries to attend the event that would be held under the theme: "Managing Africa's Resources Sustainably".

Mr. Edmund Hassan, Leader of the organizing team, told GNA in Kumasi that over 100 participants were expected from Ghana, Bolivia, Germany, Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan, Ethiopia and other countries to attend the event that would be held under the theme: "Managing Africa's Resources Sustainably". He said issues to be discussed at the conference would revolve round, small-scale mining, global resources market and Africa, carbon assets management, oil and gas and water resource management. Mr. Hassan expressed hope that the conference would be able to fashion out comprehensive plans to assist in the development of resource management in Africa and the world.
