A former Energy Minister Albert Kan Dapaah will voluntarily appear before the judgment debt commission to submit documents on the sale of the GNPC Drill ship, Discovery 511.

The ship was sold to pay judgment debts awarded against the GNPC to Societe Generale over the execution of a contract.

The Bank of Ghana and the GNPC could not furnish the commission with the documents when they appeared before it last week. Mr. Dapaah, who was the Energy Minister at the time has told XYZ News he did nothing wrong.

“Everything is at the ministry, they say that the monies were not paid to the bank of Ghana, yes, but they know where the money was paid to. All the records are there and the truth will come out", he said.

Earlier , a former deputy energy minister, K.T Hammond had said the sole commissioner of the judgment debts had misled by a number of institutions as far as the sale of the drill was concerned and that, he was also ready to appear before the commission to set the record straight.

In related news, officials of the Bureau of National Investigations and five other institutions will also appear before the commission today.

They are expected the commission with relevant information relating to some judgment debts paid in the past.
