Kasapa donates ?20m to Otumfuo Fund

THE MANAGEMENT of Kasapa Telecom Limited, operators of 028 cellular mobile phone network in Ghana has donated ?20 million to the Otumfuo Education Fund. The company also presented two connected phones and other Kasapa products to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to announce the presence of the company in Kumasi.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Robert N. Palitz, who presented a cheque covering the donation at the Manhyia palace said Kasapa considered itself as a very Ghanaian company and therefore had adopted Ghanaian cultural symbols and values for its branding.

He disclosed that Kasapa currently had over 50,000 customers in the country.

According to MD Palitz, under its unique customer proposition, Kasapa charged no fee for activation and starter pack and that there was nothing like monthly fees.

He added that said Kasapa cards and customer credit accounts never expired, knowing that people made calls according to the ability to pay.

Palitz noted that the price of Kasapa products were cheaper than other competing mobile service providers and assured prospective customers that Kasapa would first perform to the satisfaction of customers in order to count on their achievements later when it would be prudent to discuss expansion plans.

The Asantehene thanked the entire management team of the company and urged them to ensure quality service at all times.
