The Group Chairman, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, Management and Staff of Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL), producers of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in Ghana and CIMG Manufacturing Company of the Year, donated various kinds of relief items to support TV3’s appeal to solicit support for the floods and fire victims.

Kasapreko donated mattresses, cartons of assorted beverages, boxes of soaps, cartons of sardine, toilet rolls and other food items worth GHc10, 000.

More than 150 people lost their lives in the recent floods and fire disaster that hit Accra on Wednesday June 3, 2015 - a day described as Black Wednesday for which a 3-day mourning period was set aside by the President of Ghana.

Presenting the items on behalf of the company to TV3, Brands Manager at Kasapreko Eugene Kenny Ntreh lamented “this is a sad and an unfortunate disaster that hit the country and as a business it is part of our corporate social responsibility to give back to society by relieving the plights of the affected victims”.

Mr Ntreh commended TV3 for the initiative and hope the items will be used for the intended purpose and fairly distributed among the victims.

As a responsible corporate firm, Kasapreko strives to create a sustainable and socially responsible business model that serves the interest of the communities it operates in.

KCL’s commitments are focused on strategic programmes and partnerships that support the company’s corporate values aimed at promoting social change.

Some of the company’s social engagements include donations to the National Cardiothoracic Centre, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, SOS Children’s Village, Traditional Councils, Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the University of Ghana.
