The Kaneshie District Court has granted an extension of the remand warrant against Mr Eric Kojo Duah, the lead suspect in the case involving the killing of two police officers at Kasoa Buduburam.
This was after the Prosecutor, ASP Sylvester Asare, on Monday, 2 December 2019 prayed the court for the extension after revealing that the docket had been forwarded to the Attorney General's office for study and preparation of a bill of indictment.
The court, presided over by Eleanor Botchway, granted the request and adjourned the case to 16 December 2019.
Eric Duah and Michael Osafo Anim, who are currently in police custody, are being held on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder.
Duah has, additionally, been charged with two counts of murder.
The two officers, Sergeant Michael Djamesi and Lance Corporal Mohammed Awal, were killed after the occupants of a vehicle they signalled to stop opened fire on them on the Kasoa-Budumburam highway.
