Security analyst Adib Saani asserts that Kasoa has become a hub for lawlessness, hooliganism, and landguardism.

The foreign policy analyst said he is worried that Millennium City which is located in Kasoa, has gained notoriety for criminal activities following a shooting incident involving a soldier due to land ownership disputes.

He described the soldier's death as painful and unfortunate.

Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he mentioned that several people in the area are armed with sophisticated guns and can catch anyone off guard.

"That area of Kasoa and Millennium City has become hotbeds for hooliganism, lawlessness, and landguardism. We have raised concerns about these issues multiple times. This is not the first incident. They previously killed a chief in the area.

"Numerous individuals have lost their lives due to landguard conflicts, yet no action has been taken. They have committed multiple killings in the area. It is regrettable that the soldier was killed there," he said.

He emphasized the importance of addressing land administration issues to combat landguardism.

He also noted that citizens no longer hold soldiers in the same high regard as before, attributing this change to soldiers being excessively used for internal security, with every minister and state appointee being protected by soldiers.
