Member of Parliament for Assin Central had a bitter exchange with the host of “The Seat” show on Net 2 Television, culminating in the lawmaker insulting producers of the show as being “stupid, dumb, foolish!”.
What sparked Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s astonishing tirade on Wednesday night was the production team’s delay in displaying a photograph of an alleged murderer in which he had wanted to draw inferences from.
The MP, who doubles as the owner of the television station, had sought to discredit a viral video purporting to feature one Daniel Asiedu, who is standing trial for the murder of the late JB Danquah-Adu, a former Abuakwa North lawmaker.
The man in the said Video accused Ken Agyapong and other politicians of contracting him to commit that heinous crime – an allegation the MP vehemently disputed.
However, the MP who was a guest on the show failed to conduct himself appropriately when the production team for inexplicable reasons could not display the said photograph on the screen on time.
Fuming with anger he unleashed unprintable words on them, “This is stupid, foolish, silly! I have employed dumb people. This is a complete waste of resources and time. I have become a host cum producer. Should I be the one to tell you to show the guy’s picture? Complete nonsense!”
In reaction to Mr Agyapong’s unruly behaviour, the host of the show, Kwaku Annan tried to calm him down, but he [Ken Agyapong] was uncontrollable, leaving the host helpless, as he sustained his verbal onslaught.
The conduct of Ken Agyapong would not surprise many as he has a history of becoming confrontational on camera.
He has the penchant of using unprintable words on TV hosts anytime he believes things are not done in his way.
