Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, widely known as COKA, has distanced himself from a statement issued by the campaign team of Ken Ohene Agyapong that mentioned the name “KOKA”.

According to Chairman COKA, the reference in the release was not to him but rather to Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu (KOKA), a known supporter of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

He explained that the confusion had triggered a flood of calls and enquiries from supporters and members of the public who assumed the statement was directed at him.

“Please be informed that the statement made by Hon. Ken Agyapong’s team is not in reference to me (Chairman COKA). The person in question is Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu (KOKA). I kindly ask everyone to take note,” he clarified.

The clarification follows a strongly worded release from the Ken Agyapong campaign, accusing Dr Bawumia’s camp of “vicious and unprovoked attacks” allegedly spearheaded by Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu.

Speaking on Dess FM in Bekwai on Friday, October 3, 2025 and later posting a note on his Facebook wall, Chairman COKA emphasised that he does not wish for his name to be drawn into the ongoing exchanges.

He ended his message by reaffirming his personal mantra: “COKA, I care.”
