Orders 3 NPP Slaps For One NDC Slap

Tough-talking controversial NPP stalwart Ken Kwame Ackompraku Ohene Agyapong has ruffled political feathers and dropped spiritual jaws, with an order to the Party faithful to actuate biblical MOSES' LAW, with a staccato of slaps in return for every slap visited across their faces by political rivals, in the upcoming national general elections.

Ken Agyapong, Assin North Member of Parliament for two terms of eight years altogether, however went a step further when he ordered that a slap by chiefly the NDC on an NPP element, ought to be met with a barrage of dirty slaps in return in that no quarter must be brooked.

'I am admonishing you never to attack anybody in the name of political campaign but if you are attacked by any of your opponents, you must retaliate with all the force at your command,' he charged.

The MP was speaking when he took his turn on the podium at the super-monster rally held at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra region by the ruling New Patriotic Party, only a couple of days ago.

A charged Ackompraku Agyapong set the occasion ablaze with his delivery, yet won for himself such a huge round of applause and support that, it further charged the rally atmosphere with such an infectious gusto previously unseen at Ashaiman.

With an electrifying composure, the NPP stalwart went further ahead to challenge the sitting President of the nation Mr. John Agyekum Kufour, to do his bit in partnering the rest of the Party to intensify campaigns, now in the home stretch so as to retain power.

Very much his old boyish self, Mr. Agyapong, said to be a no-nonsense character even from his ADISADEL COLLEGE days assured his Party that his home region of Central, which very much stood behind the NPP in the last general elections would do a photocopy of what they did the last time around. He impressed upon the gathered assembly of NPP supporters and sympathizers how hard he was working alongside some leading lights, to ensure a total sweep of the electorate's votes.

THE SUN's election archives can recollect that the last time around, NPP swept 17 of the 19 constituencies in the region, and left behind the impression that Central was without a shred of doubt, a safe haven for the NPP.

This, however, was against the backdrop of the main opposition Party (NDC) having fielded Prof. J.E.A Mills who hails from the region (EKUMFI), while eventual winner Mr. Kufour of the NPP from Ashanti.

The resourceful Ackompraku Agyapong told the ecstatic crowd how total he has had to devote his entire body, soul and spirit to the cause of the NPP such that, the repeat of the voting pattern this time around should ensure the sweep of the votes.

Mr. Agyapong's wishes may however come face to face with the formidable campaign of son-of-the-Central soil Prof. Mills, who has made it virtually a habit of making the region his mainstay on his campaign rounds.

Yet again MP Agyapong may have a tough mountain to climb in CPP's Paa Kwesi Nduom, whose loquacious and fanciful delivery of late appears to be going down so well with floating voters, as well as first-time voters in the region. THE SUN has gathered that Mr. Agyapong has an excellent relationship with a wide section of the people of the region, and is indeed the darling gentleman of several opinion leaders right there.

However, the paper suspects that despite the seemingly overwhelming influence of the apparently successful entrepreneur, a chunk of the entire votes in the region may find their way into the bosom of other Parties.
