Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is expected to deliver the 3rd Aliu Mahama Memorial Lectures on Wednesday night.
The Finance Minister will be speaking on the theme: ‘Transforming Ghana beyond Aid: How we will get there’. It will be held at the State Banquet Hall in Accra.
This lecture forms part of activities marking the 5th anniversary of the demise of the former vice president.
There would also be an art exhibition to showcase works from the north, of which proceeds will go into supporting the Aliu Mahama Foundation.
The Aliu Mahama Lecture series, which kick-started in 2013, is an initiative of the Aliu Mahama Foundation. They are meant to keep the legacy of the late Vice President alive.
It is therefore aimed at discussing pertinent issues of major concern towards the development of the country.
Present at the 3rd edition will be members of the New Patriotic Party, members of the majority, top government officials and the general public.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia delivered the 2nd and 1st lectures respectively.
