Outspoken media personality, Afia Pokua, known as Vim Lady, has expressed her views on Kennedy Agyapong's potential influence on the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign and its impact on the party's prospects in the pending 2024 elections.

She indicated that since Dr. Bawumia was nominated in the NPP Primaries, the party's pre-election campaign has been less effective compared to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by John Dramani Mahama.

Vim Lady pointed out that Dr. Bawumia is facing challenges in addressing past comments about the economy, and believes that Kennedy Agyapong's involvement could benefit the party.

Speaking on Okay FM, she mentioned that Ken Agyapong might be the key to revitalizing the vice president's campaign, which has been lagging.

"NPP's campaign seemed uncertain, but with Ken Agyapong's entry into the scene, it's set for another contest. Mahama is currently leading the campaign efforts. If NPP's campaign were at full strength, there would be no need for Ken Agyapong's participation.

"The power of Agyapong is undeniable, and certain actions by Akufo-Addo have positioned the party unfavourably, contributing to Bawumia's difficulties. With the economy faltering, soaring inflation, and unemployment challenges, Bawumia has turned to Agyapong as a shining armour and a rescuer to tackle these issues and take on the necessary confrontations," she stated.

These remarks were made after Kennedy Agyapong was spotted campaigning for the vice president during the NPP Ashanti Regional campaign tour.

Also, some sections of the public expressed surprise at the MP's decision to support Bawumia despite their previous differences.
