Nhyaeso MP, Dr Richard Anane, has told fellow member of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Kennedy Agyapong, to “mind his language” and “know his level in the party”.

Anane’s riposte follows claims by the Assin Central MP that the Medical Doctor, together with former Chief of Staff, Kwadwo Mpiani, are plotting to “poison” the party’s two-time presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, who is seeking to run for the third consecutive time.

Kennedy’s allegation comes on the heels of purulent recriminations between party leaders and executives over recent administrative changes effected at the Communication Directorate by General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong and Chairman Paul Afoko.

The disagreements culminated in a violent disruption of a press conference organised by Afoko and Agyepong on Tuesday at the party’s headquarters.

Elders of the NPP have since issued an edict to all party members and leaders to stop speaking about the matter in the media.

But in a no-holds-barred interview on private FM station, Okay, on Friday, Kennedy Agyapong alleged that Mpiani and Anane masterminded the administrative changes effected by Afoko and Agyepong, and accused them of nurturing intentions to assassinate Nana Akufo-Addo.

Anane, however, responded that: “Even children won’t speak like that…there must be something wrong with him”, he told private FM station, Asempa.

“He must remember that the party had been established by others before he joined from outside…he just talks anyhow…who does he think he is…he must answer to the allegations in court…he must play at his own level…he must know his level…”, Anane said.
