Kennedy Agyepong, Osafo Maafo more powerful than Akufo-Addo - Bature

Alhaji Bature Iddrissu, Managing Editor of the Al Hajj Newspaper claims that New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand, Kennedy Agyapong and Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo MArfo have proven to be more powerful than President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He alleged on Adom TV on Tuesday that the President now kowtows to the whims and caprices of the two party stalwarts and easily allows them to have their way in variance with his own principles.

Instead of taming the outspoken lawmaker for Assin Central whose utterances have out the party in bad light, he observed that he has been allowed to be speaking his mind by running down some state officials including National Security Minister, Kan Dapaah on the issue of the Delta Force raid.

According to him, the NPP firebrand has over time become uncontrollable giving credence to his claim that he is now more powerful than the first gentleman of the state indicating that the President rather receives directives from him.

“Ken Agyapong and the Senior Minister are more powerful today than the President. Some people are more powerful than the President because he always respects Ken Agyapong’s decisions regardless of the fact that he is the President”, he claimed.

Mr Agyapong who disagreed with the views expressed by Alhaji Bature said he is only a voice for the voiceless by making sure the right things are done in the government they all toiled to bring to power.

“How can Alhaji Bature say am more powerful than Nana Addo. I only make sure that the right thing is done. If you really want to know who Nana Addo is just go to the flagstaff house and have a chat with him and you will realize how firm he is with his decisions” he noted.
